As Louisiana natives, we are masters of the art of cooking and conversation. Put us in front of a crowd, and we’ll spend hours spinning stories about life in Louisiana, local culture, cuisine, and our history.

Think of this as an intensive crash course in one of Louisiana’s classic dishes. Our storytelling chefs weave classic and modern cooking techniques and ingredients together to bring an important Cajun or Creole dish to life in front of your eyes.

Guests will have an opportunity for hands-on participation, but we leave the knife work to our chefs. Advance registration required, limited to 8 guests. Event will be held at Langlois 1710 Pauger at the corner of 1841 N. Rampart Street. Class requires at least 4 guests to register to avoid cancellation.
Menu- House pickle plate, pork creole, collard pesto, bananas foster crepes, rum punch. $99 per person. NON REFUNDABLE, vegetarian/dietary restriction substitution Creole stewed okra entrée.

Description

Did you get an Anova, or other immersion circulator as a gift? Don’t be afraid to take it out of the box and use it. Join Chef Amy Sins of Langlois for an introduction to the immersion circulator & sous vide cooking. This event is partial hands-on and partial demonstration. Guests will learn the basics of low-temperature cooking with a focus on safety, equipment, and innovative recipes. The focus will be placed on time, temperature, texture and flavor on various ingredients including beef, oil, fish, and vegetables. A light lunch and snacks will be provided to attendees. $120 per person inclusive.

This event is limited to 12 guests and requires a minimum of 5 guests to attend. Reservations for individuals or groups are welcome.

Chef Amy will teach you the secrets she learned from Chef Dave Arnold & Chef Nils Noren at the French Culinary Institute. Join her for a fun and educational afternoon.
